On January 14, 2019, Montgomery Antiques and Interiors welcomed city officials and special guests to the celebratory ribbon cutting of their second location. Their newest store was inside the newly renovated, 160-year old building along historic Dexter Avenue. The Dexter Avenue location, a two-story space, is a preview-style shop of their main store on Eastern Boulevard.
Dexter Avenue is an area of downtown that has seen a surge of redevelopment work and tourist traffic, but Montgomery Antiques would be one of the first retail shops along the street. The building is filled with wood floors, crown molding and period details. “That looks a whole lot better than it’s ever looked at the [Eastern Boulevard] store,” said local developer Jerald Labovitz.
Andrew Thrash, Manager of Montgomery Antiques and Interiors, was excited about the future of Montgomery Antiques, sharing, “This is going to be a big year for us.”
