MAI would like to introduce to you this month’s Center Stage feature, Ginny Allen and her booth “After the Hunt.”
Ginny is originally from Bullock County, Alabama, and grew up on a farm. She spent the last thirty-five years living all over the Southeast, but has moved back to Union Springs to enjoy the farm life once again! She grew up with antiques and inherited beautiful European and American antiques from her father’s family. She began her business in 1998 as a way to be a stay-at-home mom in Aiken, South Carolina, tending to her booth during Mother’s Day Out hours. Now, she owns the Dillard Market in Dillard, GA, and participates in a few shows in the Southeast. In the past year, she has joined the team at Montgomery Antiques & Interiors.
After the Hunt, specializes in American primitives, and English pine and oak furniture, stocks transferware, equestrian and hunt decor. Currently, her favorite item in her booth is the transferware. She loves Ironstone and finds the patterns intriguing. It is also very versatile with all china patterns. “You just have to be creative!,” she says. She loves to use the transferware jugs as flower vessels, a go to she has used for years.
She says, “Whether you are on the hunt for that unique item or just want to browse among things gone by, visit After the Hunt.”
